Municipalities will be spending billions of dollars to replace lead service lines in communities across the U.S. We are working to make sure they don’t spend it on BILLIONS of single-use plastic bottles during the replacement.

Plastic is created from fossil fuels and pollutes throughout its entire existence. Plastic production releases highly toxic chemicals that contaminate air, soil, and water, mostly harming frontline communities and contributing to elevated rates of asthma, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Plastic bottles also leach toxic chemicals into the water they contain—chemicals that are known to disrupt hormone function.
