I hope you’re having an enjoyable and peaceful holiday season. In a moment, I’m going to ask if you can pitch in one more time before our last fundraising deadline of 2022. But before I do, I hope you’ll let me explain why your contribution matters.

Next week on January 3, I’ll be sworn-in to Congress and begin officially serving the people of NM-02 as your new U.S. Representative. I couldn’t be more excited!

But before 2023 has even begun, our former far-right opponent is already planning her rematch against me in 2024. Yvette Herrell filed to run last month, and she just went on a right-wing news outlet to say, “I will definitely be staying in the fight, and next year we’ll definitely making some announcements.”

We won this critical race in November to flip NM-02 blue, and I aim to make every moment of this two-year term matter. But we can’t get complacent: while I serve New Mexicans in Washington, we have to start rebuilding our momentum with an eye toward 2024.

My team and I are working hard to finish this year off strong by raising $25,000 before December ends, but right now, we’re not on track to reach our goal in time.
