John,
Can you guess who inspired me to get involved in politics?
Most people assume it was Maxime Bernier, but it was actually Justin Trudeau!
I remember it like it was yesterday.
Trudeau was at a public town hall in Edmonton back in 2018. When he was asked why his government was still fighting Veterans groups in court, Trudeau said:
“Because they’re asking for more than [the government] is able to give…”
As a Veteran myself, this comment made my blood boil. From that moment, I knew I had to get involved and make change in this country.
Our Veterans’ risked everything for this country. Many made the ultimate sacrifice.
They deserve a government that treats them like the heroes they are. They shouldn’t have to fight for what they are owed.
And the situation has only gotten worse since then!
Not only is Veterans Affairs not properly supporting our Veterans, they’ve been offering “medical assistance in dying” to Veterans struggling to cope with PTSD!
I still can’t believe it!
Veterans lucky enough to return to Canada alive being offered suicide as a solution to PTSD.
It’s sick. There’s no other way to describe it.
We need to fix this. We need strong PPC voices in Parliament to get the job done.
Make a $20 donation today to help me get to Ottawa and be a strong voice for our Veterans! <[link removed]>

P.P.S. I am especially grateful to all those – students, retirees, unemployed – who pay the full cost of their donations because their modest incomes are below taxable levels and they get no government refund.
