In May, we shared the story of Ms. Bowen and her young daughter, Deveah, who was in and out of the ER because their pest- and mold-infested home exacerbated her asthma. To make things worse, the Bowens were wrongfully terminated from their housing support program.
While we successfully appealed the termination, we kept working to fill in another piece of their puzzle – securing a safe, healthy home.
Thankfully we’ve been able to advocate for the family all year long. Just before Thanksgiving, Deveah and her mom moved into their new, healthier home.
Help us reach thousands more children and families in the years to come. We are only four days away from the end of 2022 and are still short of our year-end fundraising goal. Our goal before 2022 ends is to have 200 new donors give $100 or more, and we need 53 more new donors to meet our challenge!
