Back Together Again!

Sharing our resources is something that States United does best; and meeting together in-person is something we've missed during the pandemic. Earlier this month, we convened with twelve of our affiliates and guest speakers where we got to lean into the challenging work we do in gun violence prevention.

It was also a full week of GVP activity where States United had the opportunity to support partner organizations.

Several of our state leaders attended and presented at the Center for American Progress GVP conference.

Our Board Chair dressed as a Human Being with Gays Against Guns to elevate Black Transgender lives killed by gun violence at the National Vigil.

We stood in solidarity at the #PasstheBan #EndGunViolence presser organized by Newtown Action Alliance.

The work IS hard, but we are inspired by our state leaders who are on the ground making incremental change for gun violence prevention and safety in their communities.

From Judy, Founder & President of Grandparents for Gun Safety:

I just want to tell you how much I appreciate being able to attend the States United conference... I am grateful to be included and learned so much by being there. You designed an excellent program and also made everything go so smoothly. That takes lot of hard work – tho you both made it look so natural.  THANK YOU!

Thanks Judy, we're grateful for your gun safety work in Missouri. At States United, we want to continue providing meaningful opportunities like conference, plus workshops and communications support for all our affiliates in 2023.

Will you help us? No amount is too small and every dollar counts.

Thank you!

States United to Prevent Gun Violence, Chair
