Dear, John,

I know you are busy with the Christmas Season and this email is not to take that away from you but to add the merry as I bring you some very exciting news!

You just helped us win a very important pro-life battle in Africa!

2022 has been a tough year as we were faced with all kinds of battles globally.

Africa has been a target of cultural imperialism. Heavily funded international non-governmental organizations, the UN and even western and European governments have camped in the continent seeking to overturn the already existent pro-life laws.

90 percent of all African countries prohibit abortion on demand which is a great bother to the global promoters of the culture of death - especially those that have commercialized abortion, hence benefiting financially from the murder of the unborn babies.

In East Africa, at the East African Legislative Assembly, a fourth attempt was made to legalize abortion in the member countries that include Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This bill christened “The East African Communtity Sexual and Reproductive Health Bill of 2021” was privately sponsored by abortion activist Kennedy Mukulia from South Sudan.

The bill sought to legalize abortion, promote sexualization of children through Comprehensive Sexuality Education and also introduce contraception to teenagers in the entire East African Community.

Having read it’s contents, we intervened quickly by writing a petition to our East African signers asking them to reject the bill in its entirety.

The petition garnered more than 7,000 signatures which were targeting the East African Legislative Assembly speaker Hon. Martin Ngoga.

Our petition raised pertinent issues which prompted the East African Legislative Assembly to arranged for public hearings which they conducted in the six East African Communties.

Below you can see a photo from one of those public hearings.

The hearings though were a sham as they were sponsored mainly by the pro-abortion financiers of the bill, which included:

  • The largest abortion cartel in America, the International Planned Parenthood Federation.
  • Marie Stopes, which was suspended in Kenya in 2018 for advertising abortions.
  • The UNFPA, which is the population control wing of the UN among others.
  • IPAS, a large pro-abortion INGO from America.

Pro-life organizations were not invited to the hearing and only learned through word of mouth that they would happen.

CitizenGO sent a representative despite not being invited!

This sham and biased “public hearings” forced us to travel all the way to Arusha in Tanzania where the EALA is headquartered to deliver our petition and signatures to the speaker.

You can watch and share the video of the delivery of signatures by clicking here:

Here you can see the pictures of our delivery of signatures in Tanzania:

This delivery of signatures and our petition send the abortionists who have sponsored the bill to a panic mode and as expected they led online libel and slander against us.

Determined, we continued lobbying and pressuring online through twitter bombing the parliament to drop the bill.

In October of 2022, we were invited to present our concerns against the bill members of the EALA parliament in Kigali, Rwanda where the 4th assembly was sitting.
We told the members of the parliament that East Africans had rejected the bill and that there was need to withdraw it in its entirety.

In the picture below you can see us presenting our memorandum before EALA members of parliament in Kigali, Rwanda.

Our continued and relentless efforts to stop the bill finally paid off. We managed to slow the process and discredit the bill totally. The 4th assembly wound up without passing it which means it is a huge victory for you and us.

Your signature and your support once again has paid off and we immensely thank you.

We have frustrated the efforts of the largely financed global abortionists and  stopped them from murdering East African babies.

We are prepared for them in the next session as we know they won’t stop and that is what makes you and us, a team of soldiers, always ready for the battle.

For now I will let you savour this sweet victory.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for all you do!

Ann Kioko and the entire CitizenGO team.
