Dear friends,
City Limits was founded in 1976 during the height of New York’s fiscal crisis, to equip citizens to create a more just city. For 46 years, we’ve published award-winning journalism that has informed and empowered New Yorkers.
Today our work matters like never before, but as a nonprofit news organization, we lack the resources of a larger publication. Our journalists provide a critical service, and we depend on readers to step up and support our work.
We’re relying on you.
We have five days left until the December 31 deadline, and we need your help to raise $30,000. Your tax-deductible donation will be doubled by NewsMatch, up to $1,000. We’re so close, with $25,120 already raised, and your donation could be the one that helps us get there.
Will you give today to support independent journalism? |

We’re grateful for readers like you who believe in the work we’re doing.
Warmly,
Marjorie Martay
Executive Director, City Limits
P.S. Make a donation of $200+ by Dec 31, and you’ll receive our limited-edition book: 45 Stories, 45 Years: City Limits’ History of Covering NYC, offering a collection of historical news and photos of our city coverage since 1976. |
