Friend —
I’ll be honest, I am about to ask you to make a contribution before our first fundraising deadline of 2020. My hope is that you’ll give me a moment to explain why this request is so important — especially today.
As you know, there’s a lot happening in Washington right now. As the House continues its critical work to hold this administration accountable, I wanted to let you know about the important work being done in the Senate, too.
I’ve been working on legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs, protect and expand our health care, tackle the climate crisis, and guarantee equal justice for everyone — no matter who you are or who you love.
The truth is, I have been able to work my tail off in the Senate on the issues that matter most because folks like you have helped me every step of the way.
Your support has allowed me to stay focused on doing my job. And with so many critical fights coming up, I am going to have much less time to raise money. So, this is where I’m hoping you will step in.
Unfortunately, we’re behind on our first fundraising goal of 2020 and I’m hoping grassroots donors like you can help us catch up. The response to these emails has always been so great, so I hope I can count on you today:
I am asking you to add a contribution of $10 or whatever you can afford before our first deadline of 2020. Can I count on you? Anything you can give will go a long way to keep me staying focused on my work in the Senate and less time dialing for dollars.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Your contributions have made the difference time and again and allow me to spend more time doing my job in the Senate — instead of worrying about our fundraising. That’s a gift I know I am lucky to have, especially at such a critical moment during this election year.
Thank you for taking action.
