Tomorrow, thousands of teachers from across the state will rally in Tallahassee to stand up and defend public education. For too long we've neglected our schools, our teachers, and the students by chipping away at the budget to the point that Florida is now 46th in the nation for teacher pay, we spend more days testing than we do teaching, and our students are falling behind.
Richard Corcoran's Department of Education sent e-mails trying to intimidate our teachers from showing up threatening them with firing for using their personal days to lobby on behalf of their students. Still, they will march.
