The past year has shown, as much as any, how important honest, fact-based news can be. We have seen increased union organizing, two United Nations-sponsored climate conferences, and criminal referrals by the January 6 committee. But also a tragic war in Ukraine, an ongoing pandemic, and far too many deaths due to gun violence in schools, stores, and entertainment venues.

In all of these moments, The Progressive has been there, bringing you the voices of grassroots groups and individuals working for a more just and peaceful world. We help you sift the facts from fiction and conspiracy theories, we help you see the nuance behind the headlines, and we help you hear the voices of those on the frontlines of change.

For more than one hundred years, this magazine has been a voice for unrepresented or underrepresented people and movements—shining a light in the dark corners, holding the powerful to account, and celebrating progress towards equity. We need your support to continue this important work.
