Folks,

Our fight in the immigrant justice movement can often be a long and difficult
road. But in our work, it’s critical to celebrate our victories and the progress
that has been made across the movement.

Here are just some of the highlights:

* In court, NILC secured two victories that were aimed at undoing and securing
justice for the harm caused by the Trump administration. In the first case, a federal judge ordered the Biden administration to undo
the harms of the Muslim and African Bans and reconsider denied visa
applications. Then, in our lawsuit challenging what at the time was the
largest workplace raid in a decade, the judge preliminarily approved a class
settlement that will provide over $1 million to workers who were illegally
targeted, detained, and subjected to excessive force.
* In Congress, we spent the year relentlessly advocating for the end of cruel Trump-era policies that endanger asylum seekers and
pressuring elected officials to deliver permanent protections for immigrant
youth before the end of the year. We held lobbying days, press conferences,
flew in DACA recipients to meet with members of Congress, and mobilized NILC
supporters to contact their representatives more than 30,000 times in support of asylum seekers and immigrant youth.
* Across the country, states made incredible advances in expanding immigrants’
access to critical supports, like health care and nutrition assistance,
driver’s licenses and state IDs, and relief for excluded workers. We owe these historic advances to local immigrant rights groups and allies,
with support from our hardworking advocates here at NILC.

We could not have achieved these victories without your support, and we are
ready to keep fighting in 2023. Hundreds of people across the country have
already stepped up to power our legislative and policy work to protect and
advance the rights of the immigrant communities we serve through generous
donations. Hitting our $1 million goal before 2022 ends ensures we have the
resources to continue this fight.

Please, become a donor today to help us hit our critical
end-of-year goal.
