Dear John,
Every Valentine's Day and Halloween card you send to patients, every kind word you share, every gift you make—every single one of those actions makes a difference for kids at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Across the enormous diversity of conditions that we treat, there is one thing that powers our ability to do everything from performing emergency surgeries on newborns to using virtual reality to help patients manage pain: you.
I say it often, but I could say it every day and it still wouldn't capture how grateful I am, how grateful our teams are and how grateful our patients' families are. You make all that we do possible, and I thank you for that.
As we turn the page on 2022, I'd like to share a few more ways your support will continue to make an important difference in the lives of children now and in the new year.
Thanks to supporters like you, Children's Hospital Los Angeles:
Gives families access to doctor visits from the comfort of their own home through the Connected Care program.
Researches new and better treatments, from using virtual reality to help patients manage pain to finding new breakthroughs in heart surgery.
Ensures Child Life specialists can be there to ease kids' fears about an upcoming medical procedure, or to brighten the days of patients feeling anxious about being away from home.
We do this, and so much more, with your support.
Thank you for your kindness.
Thank you for your generosity.
Thank you for caring.
From all of us at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, wishing you and yours peace and joy now and in the new year.
With gratitude,
