John, the Trump administration continues to endanger our planet by rolling back environmental protections.

Trump is trying to weaken the National Environmental Policy Act -- a landmark law that for five decades has ensured that construction projects respect environmental concerns. It seems that this administration’s solution to climate change is to close their eyes and hope for the best. That approach is morally reprehensible -- our kids deserve better.

This is what happens when a White House cares more about pro-polluter special interests than the advice of scientists and safety experts.

We need more pro-science voices in Congress to make sure that facts are always a part of the debate. But my opponent, Lee Zeldin, has been complicit at every turn as Trump's policies put at risk our environment, and therefore our life on Long Island.
