Today I'd like to wish you a Merry Christmas!
This time of year can be so busy with shopping for gifts, volunteering to brighten the season for our neighbors, and attending so many holiday parties. It can be easy to forget what this time is really all about. I personally find a great reminder of the reason for the season in Isaiah 9:6, which says “Unto us a child is born. Unto us a child is given. And the government will be upon his shoulders. And he shall be called Wonderful Counselor. Mighty God. Everlasting Father. Prince of Peace.”
In such turbulent times, we could all use a little peace. That’s why this time of year is so special. Because it reminds us that God came to earth as a baby to serve the poor, to heal the sick, and to bring peace on earth. So as you gather with family and loved ones during this beautiful season, I wish you hope, peace, and a very Merry Christmas.
