Merry Christmas, John.
If you’re celebrating today, I pray that you have a joyous and blessed Christmas.
I hope you’re cherishing precious time with your loved ones; I know I am not taking this time with my wife, kids, and my church for granted.
It was just 2 short years ago when we saw governors and mayors, on both sides of the political aisle, shut down churches days before Good Friday.
It was on Good Friday 2020 when a pastor from Riverside County, California called us seeking legal help after he was fined $1,000 for preaching in-person to his congregation.
We took his case and after more than a year of litigation won his case at the Supreme Court of the United States.
That victory was a huge win for all faith traditions because other houses of worship—synagogues, gurdwaras, temples, mosques, etc.—were also shut down by out-of-control government officials who willingly trampled on the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
That’s why I’ll never take another Christmas for granted, and I hope you won’t either.
But what the COVID-19 pandemic showed us was how fragile our liberty really is.
President Reagan famously said, “Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.”
We all know firsthand how true that is!
That is why the Center for American Liberty is always fighting for you.
We will do everything in our power to protect your way of life, your faith traditions, and your freedoms.
Thank you for standing with us this year.
We are so blessed by your support.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
Gratefully,
Mark Trammell
