As we wrap up 2022 and finish off the holiday season, we wanted to share a message of gratitude to you and your family from Robert. Without your unwavering support, we would not have been able to Elect Robert to Congress last month. With you on our team, we made history.

Thank you.

Now, check out what Robert has been up to since Election day below!

Robert in Washington D.C. for Freshman Orientation:

In Washington D.C., Robert first attended the Progressive Caucus freshman orientation and joined the largest group of progressives in Congress in modern history.

They kicked off orientation in the Library of Congress, where Robert discovered the largest public comic book collection in the country and is looking forward to reading some of his favorite comics.

[link removed] [[link removed]]Robert concluded orientation by being elected Freshman Class President of the 118th Congress and is the very first LGBTQ+ member to lead a freshman class in modern history! At the very end of orientation, Robert participated in the office lottery, one of the most exciting activities of orientation for incoming members. He drew number 12 out of 76, and got to be 12th to choose his office! (And he will be sure to display comics in his nice new office!)

Robert returned to Long beach for the annual Christmas tree and holiday celebration, where he spent time with constituents and showed off Long Beach’s beautiful holiday decorations.

[link removed] [[link removed]]Robert’s last proposal as Mayor was passed unanimously by city council, which fully funds a memorial in honor of 1300+ Long Beach residents who lost their lives to COVID-19, including his mother.

[link removed] [[link removed]]On December 19th, Robert began wrapping up his mayoral duties on a jam-packed last day as Mayor. He began his morning by hosting a thank you reception for Long Beach employees and later went to local hospitals to thank nurses and medical personnel that saved the lives of many during the pandemic. He finished off the day by lighting the city hall Menorah for Hanukkah!

Together, we are going to take our fight for California families, the LGBTQ+ community, Immigrants, and all Americans to Washington this January.

Onwards,

Team Robert

On December 31st, we face our final FEC deadline of the year and we have modest goals to meet to keep the momentum of this movement going. So today, we are kindly asking for your contribution of $3 to continue funding our movement for California families. Please contribute if you can afford to do so. [[link removed]]
