December 23, 2022 John – From all of us at the WisGOP, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours! We hope you have a safe and relaxing
holiday season and are staying warm. It’s been a busy two weeks at the
WisGOP with the election of Chairman Brian Schimming and major updates in the state Supreme Court election. You can read more about what we’re
working on at the WisGOP below. - Team WisGOP
On December 10, longtime
conservative activist and party strategist Brian Schimming was unanimously elected WisGOP Chairman at the meeting of the Republican Party of Wisconsin
executive committee in Stevens Point. Chairman Schimming has already hit the ground running by making media appearances across the state and by
planning new local candidate trainings to help conservatives take back their local governments. Watch his first Chairman’s Corner update
here, or read our press release announcing his election here.
On his first day as WisGOP Chairman, Schimming announced new trainings across the state to serve candidates running for
local offices. Since the government overreach of 2020, conservatives have woken up and been inspired to take back our local governments – but
the progress can only continue if more of our grassroots leaders step up. Running for local office is the single best way to get involved in your
community. We want to help you get started. Learn the basics about how to get your campaign up and running here, and RSVP to a training to learn the nuts and bolts of winning your local election here. For weeks, media
outlets have reported on No Jail Janet Protasiewicz’s record of making Wisconsin less safe. This week, WISN 1130’s Dan O’Donnell revealed that Judge Janet Protasiewicz gave no prison time to a child rapist who
solicited sex from a 15-year-old girl and got her pregnant – citing “strange times” provided by the COVID pandemic. This follows
Wisconsin Right Now’s report that Protasiewicz gave no prison time to a mother who
starved her son to death. The 2023 election for Wisconsin Supreme Court is more critical than ever, as it will determine the ideological balance of
the court. As liberals continue to tout dangerous,
activist judges who want to allow criminals to endanger our communities and plan to undo all of Republicans’ reforms in the past several years
– no matter what the law says – it’s imperative that conservatives are engaged and Wisconsin elects a judge who stands for law and
order. If you would like to support our efforts heading into the spring, sign up to volunteer here.
In his first Chairman’s Corner update, new Chairman Brian Schimming outlines his goals to ensure sweeping victories in 2022 and
2024. Worth the Read
