As you put the finishing touches on your tree, service members deployed in places like Eastern Europe are facing Christmas in a cold, unfamiliar place.
As you’re wrapping presents and stuffing stockings, Navy sailors are looking out at an empty, unforgiving ocean, unsure of when they’ll be able to talk to their families again.
As you celebrate Christmas morning surrounded by loved ones, young troops in Japan will wake up alone, missing the holiday with their families for the first time ever. For many of them, it won’t be the last.
Being away from home during the holidays is just one of the countless sacrifices our troops make each and every day — sacrifices that ensure Americans like us can enjoy special moments like Christmas with our own loved ones. We owe service members so much, especially at times when they are missing home the most. That’s why we need you to step up now to sign the holiday card for our troops: Please, will you add your name to thank the heroes sacrificing so much for us this season?
We can’t stand the thought that service members could wake up alone on Christmas and feel forgotten by the fellow Americans they are sacrificing so much for.
With your message of support, you can help deliver a powerful reminder to our troops that folks back home understand and appreciate everything they do for us and that we’re standing with them through thick and thin, wherever they are in the world.
So please, will you take just a second away from your own holiday celebrations to remember our troops and sign the card to make sure they know you care?
Thank you so much for everything you do to support our troops, especially during moments like this when they need it most.
