Over the past year, our work in California and Georgia has been going strong.

This year in California, we assembled and launched the Care Policy Table – a coalition of diverse groups working to develop state-based care policies. As part of that work this year, we released a landmark report that shows just how much families and communities in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento need care-first programs like universal paid leave, affordable child care, and accessible in-home and community care for aging or disabled people.

Despite only launching our work in Georgia last March, we’ve made tremendous progress in the Peach State. We held an amazing roundtable on care in Atlanta with 16 partner organizations, actress Brandee Evans, and state representatives Kim Schofield, Park Cannon, and William Boddie.
