Friend,

Earlier this week, Congress took steps to improve conditions for workers
nationwide by increasing funding for the National Labor Relations Board by
[ [link removed] ]$25 million in the end-of-year omnibus bill. It’s the first budget
increase the Board has seen in nearly a decade.

While this is a welcome first step in the fight for workers’ rights, it’s
not enough to meet the challenges the National Labor Relations Board is
facing, including a staffing shortage. The NLRB plays a significant role
in ensuring that workers have the protections they need to organize and
engage in collective action. They’ve offered vital support in a year with
[ [link removed] ]more than double the number of union representation petitions filed and
a spike in unfair, often retaliatory labor practices from major
corporations like Starbucks and Amazon.

If we want to do right by workers, we need to give them the tools they
need to succeed.

[ [link removed] ]Sign if you agree: To give workers a fighting chance, Congress must
fully fund the NLRB in the next reconciliation bill.

The push for stronger labor legislation has been an uphill battle, with
bills like the PRO Act failing in the Senate. The very least we can do is
give an existing agency like the National Labor Relations Board the
funding to meet this new wave in the fight for workers’ rights.

In solidarity,
Ro
