Before we sign off for the holidays, we wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you’ve helped us to accomplish this year >>>>>>>

Dear friend — from each and every one of us at the Fairness Project, we wanted to wish you and your loved ones a very happy holiday season.

But first, before we sign off for the holidays, we wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you’ve helped us to accomplish this year.

In 2022, we stood alongside voters in six different states and powered our biggest slate of campaigns to victory. We helped Arizonans find relief from predatory debt traps, South Dakotans gain access to affordable health care, Nebraskans raise wages to a precedent-setting $15/hour, and Angelinos enact necessary checks and balances on the county Sheriff’s department.

And in Michigan and Vermont, you helped us to make history. 2022 was an emotional roller coaster when it came to reproductive rights — from the leaked SCOTUS decision, to the formal one overturning Roe v. Wade, to pre-Roe trigger bans stripping millions of their access to abortion in states across the country. But despite the frustration, feelings of hopelessness and defeat, you helped win ballot measures to restore the reproductive freedom of millions.

Before the November midterms, we didn't know if using direct democracy to restore abortion rights would be possible. But you helped us prove in Michigan and Vermont, California, Montana and Kentucky that it is. Now, we have a path forward in several more states to use the ballot box to protect our reproductive freedom for good.

While we still have a long way to go in our fight for social and economic fairness for all, 2022 undoubtedly was a step forward.

Wishing you and your loved ones a happy holiday season. Now, onwards to 2023 and the fights ahead.

With gratitude,

Kelly Hall, a white woman with blonde hair stands in front of a grey background.
