Happy Holidays, team.
As I spend quality time with my family and loved ones, I can’t help but reflect on how grateful I am for everything you’ve done to elect me to represent Illinois’ 17th District.
Next year, I’ll be sworn in to represent the community where I was born and raised. But before that, it’s worth stepping back to take stock of what we’ve accomplished. Together, we built a grassroots movement around our shared values and elected the first-ever LGBTQ member of Congress from Illinois. We made history, friend, thanks to you.
No matter how you celebrate, I hope the season is filled with peace, laughter, and rest for you and yours. I’m so thankful to everyone who’s been involved -- in ways large and small -- and I hope you have a restful and enjoyable holiday.
