[1]Cori Bush

John,

The holiday season always makes me nostalgic, and I can't help but
reminisce this morning.

Growing up, I never thought I'd get involved in politics. I dreamt of
becoming a nurse and having close friends and family. On days like today,
I laugh wondering what that little girl would think of the woman she'd
become — a mother, activist, and Member of Congress.

Today, I am proud to represent Missouri's First District in Congress.
We've accomplished so much together in our first term in office. With your
support, we introduced the Green New Deal for Cities to bring climate
investments to local communities, legislation to expel insurrectionists
from Congress, the People's Response Act and the Helping Families Heal Act
to transform our system of public safety, and the Keeping Renters Safe Act
to give the Department of Health and Human Services the permanent
authority to implement eviction moratoriums during public health crises.

But our work is far from over. There is still so much mobilizing we need
to do to make progress on racial, economic, and environmental justice and
represent folks who have been overlooked for far too long. That's why
we've set a goal to raise $85,000 before the end of the year.

[ [link removed] ]If you're with me in this movement, will you chip in $5
or more right now to power our organizing so we can pass the change our
communities need? Your donation will help ensure we are ready to make
progress next Congress.

The challenges we face are immense. But I know that when we work together,
we have the power to move mountains.

Republicans at every level of government are banning abortion, each day
people are struggling because they can't afford rent, food, or medicine,
Black and brown people are dying at the hands of police, and the climate
crisis continues to disproportionately harm Black, brown, Indigenous, and
low-income communities.

[ [link removed] ]That's why I must ask for your support again before our final
fundraising deadline of 2022. If it makes sense for you, will you please
chip in any amount before midnight to help hit our $85,000 goal and start
next year in a strong position?

Thank you for all of your support.

Your Congresswoman loves you,
Cori
