As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that we've accomplished together. 2022 was all about building the future we know is possible by expanding our team and going deeper into our work across education, protecting democracy, and ending the criminalization of Black and Brown communities.
Ultimately, none of this would be possible without the support of our donors.
The funding we receive from our donors and the support we receive from you all are critical to our fight for liberation, to break down systemic racism using the law, policy, and shifting narratives. So as the year comes to a close, we wanted to THANK YOU!
This year, together, we were able to:
*Host our first big in-person convening in a long time, bringing together over 25 organizations and 100 youth organizers from across the United States for our National Police Free Schools convening.
*Develop work explicitly focused on ending the criminalization and abuse of Black girls in and around public schools.
*Fight voter suppression bills in Florida and Georgia on behalf of Black faith communities and Latinx civic engagement organizations.
*Poll young voters of color to understand their priorities to inform our Get out the Vote ads messaging, with close to 12 million views leading up to the mid-term elections.
*Focused on implementing new efforts to decarcerate and decriminalize our communities
Trained a network of Black and Brown lawyers to challenge police violence and misconduct.
As we look towards 2023, we know that we still have a lot of work to do, but we are readying to hit the ground running for racial justice. We hope you'll consider making a year-end donation to Advancement Project to help us continue this important work into the next [[link removed]] year. [[link removed]] [[link removed]]
