It has been a little over one year since folks like you elected me to the U.S. Senate. I have had the honor of serving you and let me tell you: Every single day I am grateful to raise your voice in this fight.

The best part of my job is making a meaningful difference for local communities right here in Minnesota and supporting our common values of freedom, fairness, and opportunity for all.

One of those places, in particular, is the city of Duluth in Northeastern Minnesota. As I've heard from leaders across this region, there is a lot of work to be done. And that is why I'm so excited they will soon see more than $1 billion to invest in transportation and hospital improvements.

Not only that, but the community in Grand Marais is facing several health care challenges right now as they struggle to maintain local services and retain doctors. In response, I introduced two bipartisan measures to improve access and bring down costs.

Whether it's the folks in Duluth or in Grand Marais, I'm committed to eliminating barriers so ALL Minnesotans can share in the American Dream.
