What a year!
2022 was one for the record books for me, as I hope it brought much success and happiness to your life. The joy and struggle that went into my time as a State Representative was a true labor of love. I was humbled by the privilege to serve and extremely proud of the work I was able to do.
Here are some of the highlights:
Creating a $1M rainwater harvesting program that turned into part of the $200M Water Conservation Fund.
Speaking out against policy built on conspiracy and prejudice. And strategically working to make sure those bills didn’t move.
Fighting for our kids, teachers, and public schools. Ensuring they received as much money as possible in the budget and that the barriers to spend it were removed.
The relationships I formed - both across the aisle and amongst my Democratic colleagues and staff. I will forever cherish the friendships and inspiration I received, and will be rooting for each one of them in their future endeavors.
Helping wherever I could to get Democrats elected. Democracy is safe and balance restored.....a new political dawn will rise in 2023!
I will remain in our communities working for equitable change in the new year. My work is not done in bringing solutions to our affordable housing crisis and water shortage.
Surround yourself with loved ones this holiday season, both in your home and heart.
From my family to yours, wishing you a very merry everything,
Sarah
