The January 6^th Committee has released select transcripts from their
hours of testimony in relation to the attack on the Capitol.

What we have learned so far:

- Rep. Paul Gosar actively texted members of a “Stop the Steal” group
during the Capitol riot.

- Many figures, including Roger Stone and John Eastman, repeatedly invoked
the Fifth Amendment.

- Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, and a large figurehead
in the conservative media gave a deposition, though also invoked the Fifth
Amendment, and gave no substantive answers whatsoever.

- Alex Jones was also on the list, and invoked the Fifth as well towards
every question, aside from general hostile remarks towards the record.

- House Republicans, including Jim Jordan, released their own report in
response to point fingers at anyone other than those who stoked the
rhetorical flames. In their report, they try to paint Donald Trump’s
remarks as encouraging peaceful protests.

The Committee has delayed its initial timeframe for releasing its report
and is now set to potentially release it – as of 11:00 am EST – Thursday,
December 22^nd. No specific time was given as of the writing of this
report.

Even if there is overwhelming evidence of Trump’s involvement in January
6^th and the attempts to illegally overturn the election –there will be
those figures who remain loyal to him and only him.

That is why our work is so important over the next year. We must push back
against the MAGA cult, disinformation, and attempts to overthrow our
democracy.
