Hi folks,
This holiday season, I have so much gratitude for this team. Together, we have accomplished so much, and it’s an honor to work alongside you to make progress for Wisconsin and our country. This year, we passed important legislation to lift some of the burdens many of us face, including the rising costs of gas, groceries, and prescription drugs.
I’m so proud of all that we’ve done to help build a more equitable society, but our work isn’t finished yet. This holiday season, my thoughts are with the folks across the country who are still struggling to put food on the table, pay their heating bills as the weather gets colder, and make their rent on time.
This team is all about having each other’s backs, which is why I’m hoping we can come together to support Meals on Wheels, an organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals for folks who are struggling in our communities.
So if you’re able, will you join me in supporting Meals on Wheels by making a donation today? 100% of your contribution will go directly to this organization and their work to support our community with nutritious meals this holiday season.
Thank you for chipping in if you can. Best wishes for a safe, fun-filled holiday with those you love.
— Tammy
P.S. Forecasts are showing winter storms in Wisconsin and across the nation for the next few days, so please be careful on the roads if you’re traveling to visit family and friends. Keep close watch of radars and be prepared for heavy snow and strong winds. If you are in need of a place to stay warm, look for local warming centers near you (search "Extreme Cold Warming Centers" on 211 Wisconsin's website).
I also recommend taking a look at the CDC’s guidance for what to do in the event of a winter storm — you can never be over-prepared for big storms like the ones in our forecast.
Stay safe!
