John, it’s been just over a month since the 2022 midterm elections, and Texas Republicans are wasting no time in kicking off their voter suppression efforts for future elections. They’ve already proposed the creation of a Florida-style election police force.

This isn’t new. It’s part of the Texas GOP’s decades-long, racist plan to suppress and intimidate Black voters. Right now, Texas doesn’t offer online voter registration, which is a HUGE deterrent for voters of color and young voters. That’s unacceptable, John.
