Hey John! It’s been an exciting (and tiring) couple of weeks.
I’ve been spending a lot of time traveling back and forth from Orlando to D.C. preparing for the start of my term in Congress, which has been an incredible and unique experience.
Here’s what I’ve been up to:
– I attended freshman orientation for new members, where I got to make some friends with my amazing incoming class which is the youngest, most diverse, and progressive freshmen class in modern history!
– During orientation, we learned the ins and outs of the Capitol (Although, I did get lost in the Capitol Visitor Center. A right of passage, if you will)
– And I had a blast picking out District 10’s office on the Hill! I picked one of the weirdest ones, but I swear it’s going to be great. (I’m already picking out some music for our office record player)
Getting ready to start my term as a member of Congress has been SO surreal – and has only been made possible because of people like you, John, who believed in our campaign and our movement for a better future.
Your support over the past year got me here, but getting to Congress was the first step in our fight. If I’m going to stay in Congress, I’ll need that same grassroots strength behind me every step of the way. Can I count on you to chip in $27 and continue powering our movement? >>
I’ll be in touch!
Thank you,
Maxwell
