It’s been 40 years, Friend. 40 years since Congress passed immigration legislation that provided a path to citizenship for millions. And unfortunately, this year won’t be any different 😔…
On Tuesday, Congress failed us by releasing a year end funding bill that excludes a path to citizenship for immigrant youth like me, farm workers, and other immigrants. Hearing this news made me feel angry, friend. 😤 We need our elected leaders to have the same courage and determination of those immigrant youth who marched in the freezing rain in D.C. last week!! (click here to watch an encouraging message from our executive director, Greisa).
But, what gives me hope is knowing that the work we do – you and I, together – is about more than just winning immigrant protections or expanding pathways to legalization for all. 🧡 Today, we have more tools at our disposal than ever before to continue building the power we need to create a better world for our Black, brown and immigrant communities. ✊
So, friend, although Congress failed us again, we still have more to fight for, and more to win. Which is why we will not give up, we will not give in.
Last week, over 200 immigrant youth from across the country came to D.C. to share their stories and demand a path to citizenship. 🎥 Watch an encouraging message from our undocumented, unafraid executive director - Greisa:

Together, we’ll keep dreaming and fighting. We cannot move forward on this path to liberation without you. 🧡
