Roosevelt Ideas that Made a Difference in 2022

This year, Rooseveltian ideas made headway on a number of fronts. Roosevelt Institute research and advocacy were instrumental in some amazing economic policy wins, including legislation that, if implemented well, will invest in the US—and an economy and democracy that work for everyone—for decades to come.

Here are some suggested holiday reads from our authors on economic governance, climate, and inflation that will continue to resonate into 2023.

Podcast: How to Save a Country

This year on How to Save a Country, Roosevelt President and CEO Felicia Wong and the New Republic’s Michael Tomasky talked to the people imagining—and building—a stronger economy and better democracy for all of us. Their guests included historian Heather Cox Richardson, Representative Hakeem Jeffries, and Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Catch this week’s bonus episode, in which Wong, Tomasky, and labor scholar Dorian Warren discuss the relationship between inequality and democracy.

Note: The Roosevelt Rundown will be on hiatus until January 6. Have a safe and happy holiday season, and see you back here in 2023!
