I’m personally asking you to donate $15 to honor my precious daughter, Jessi, and the 11 other innocent souls stolen from us in the Aurora, Colorado theater massacre with action. >>
It’s been 10 long years since I lost my beloved baby girl, Jessi.
On July 20, 2012 she went to the premier of Dark Night Rising at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater.
This is the last thing I would ever hear from her:
“Go get some rest, can’t wait for you visit. I need my momma.”
Just minutes later, she was gone -- slaughtered along with 11 others at the hands of a gunman with an AR-15.
Jessi was just 24 years old. I miss her presence, her laughter, her wit, that smile -- her whole being.
The world I knew ended that day. It has been 10 Thanksgivings, 10 birthdays, 10 Christmases, 10 New Year's Eves without our precious girl.
Our hearts never heal from gun violence, but we fight so hopefully you don't experience this pain.
That’s why I’m standing with BAWN. But we need your help to hold cowardice lawmakers accountable and unseat every one of them who refuses to protect our children. We need to raise $3,000 before midnight in honor of our Jessi and the 11 other lives stolen from us on July 20, 2012. Will you chip in $15 to help fund BAWN’s campaign to ban assault weapons -- like the AR-15 used to murder my daughter? >>
Since I lost Jessi, there has been tragedy after tragedy with no end in sight.
Over 400,000 Americans have been ripped from this world by gun violence.
And over 1.6 million more have had to mourn their loved ones.
That is the cost of a decade of deadly inaction.
This cannot be the road our country takes. That’s why I’m still fighting 10 years later -- and that’s why I’ll never stop fighting.
I know we can put a stop to the endless bloodshed in our country. But only if we all work together to hold complacent lawmakers accountable. So I’m personally asking one more time: Will you chip in $15 to help BAWN raise $3,000 before midnight in honor of our precious Jessi and the 11 others stolen from us 10 years ago? Every dollar you donate goes to support the movement to ban assault weapons once and for all. >>
Thank you for your support,
