John,
My name is Jesús "Chuy" García, and throughout my career, I’ve held different titles: community organizer, County Commissioner, Alderman, State Senator, and Congressman, but I’ve always been a Chicagoan first.
This city helped raise me. My family moved to Chicago from Mexico when I was nine years old. Over the last 55 years, I’ve called this city my home. I met the love of my life here and raised my children in Little Village, the very same neighborhood I grew up in.
This city inspires me, and I’m proud to call it my home. From the vibrant neighborhoods to the rich history and incredible culture and famous skyline, there's simply no other place like Chicago.
But today, it's clear that Chicago is at a crossroads, and we need a new leader with a vision for our future and the know-how and empathy to get us there, together. That's why I am running for Mayor of Chicago.
Can I count on you to personally endorse my campaign for Mayor of Chicago? This is a fast-moving race, so we need all the grassroots support we can get to fight for a better future for Chicago.
Chicagoans face many issues daily, from crime to unemployment and the shortage of affordable housing. The only way we will solve our city's problems is by electing a proven leader who understands we are all stronger together.
Many Chicagoans, including myself, take great pride in our city, and I understand that this collective love for our diverse and beautiful city is what can bring us together to create a brighter future for all.
So please, John, take a moment to have your voice heard and personally endorse my campaign.
We have a lot left to do in a short time, but my team and I are ready and incredibly grateful to have you on our side.
Let's get to work!
– Chuy
