It is a tremendous honor to once again be voted as Chairman of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, and it is humbling to have the opportunity to continue leading our party through the crucial 2020 election year. 

From electing Governor Murphy, Senator Menendez and Senator Booker, to flipping control of competitive House districts with rising stars like Mikie Sherrill, Tom Malinowski, Andy Kim and Josh Gottheimer, to expanding our majorities in the state legislature, and incredibly important wins on the local level in places like Somerset, Burlington and Morris counties, we have accomplished truly inspiring victories. We have more Democrats representing our state than at any time in recent memory, and that’s a testament to the hard work of our party. 

Those electoral wins aren’t the only measure of our success -- we have modernized and strengthened our party in so many other ways that have contributed to those victories. With the help of Governor Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy, we are raising more money than ever before, training hundreds of new candidates and Democratic campaign operatives, and using digital tools like our email list, social media and more to connect with our voters. We brought thousands of grassroots Democrats together for our annual NJDSC Conference in Atlantic City to hear from national leaders like Nancy Pelosi. And, we have provided direct support to Democratic campaigns and organizations all over the state. 

As Chairman, I promise that this work will not just continue, but will be expanded so we can do even more to elect Democrats at all levels.

This summer, we will be proudly leading New Jersey’s delegation at the 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Come November, we will defeat Donald Trump, re-elect our Democratic congressional delegation, and continue to run in races in more traditionally Republican areas. We will be ready to win. 

I would like to thank Governor Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, and Democratic Chairs across the state whose dedicated support made my continued leadership of our party possible. I am also deeply grateful to the grassroots groups who rallied around our vision for growing an even more diverse, inclusive party. 

I am excited to enter a new era of party unity as we move towards the most important election of our lives this November. I look forward to continuing to work together to move our party forward.
