Here's a snapshot of our work in 2022, and we couldn't have done any of it without YOU.

Dear John,
As 2022 comes to a close, we reflect back on the work we’ve accomplished with your support this year, including:
● Important progress advancing more routine, robust post-election audits providing voters with transparent evidence supporting the reported election results, especially in:
○ Pennsylvania, where the Pennsylvania Department of State’s RLA directive was the result of years of hard work alongside bipartisan stakeholders including election officials, legislators, and election security advocates.
○ Virginia, with a keystone ‘win’ in the passing of a new RLA law, the capstone of years of patient investment in educating legislators and helping election officials implement pilot RLAs in the state.
● Research and publication of reports helping the public understand key elements of resilient and trustworthy elections in collaboration with partner organizations, including:
○ Voting Machines at Risk in 2022, a joint analysis from the Brennan Center and Verified Voting
○ Coordinating Audits and Recounts to Strengthen Election Verification, in collaboration with Citizens for Election Integrity Minnesota
● Improvements to the Verifier, our unique interactive database of voting equipment, including the publication of two new data sets:
○ First Year in Use Map
○ Post-Election Audit Laws Map
● Helping lead the nonpartisan Election Protection Coalition alongside partners to ensure all voters have equal opportunity to participate in the political process. We provided resources and training to partners, state leads, and 866-Our-Vote hotline volunteers—the hotline fielded almost 9,000 calls on Election Day, and 31,000+ this fall election season!—and live-time technical support to election officials, poll workers, and voters.
● Playing a key role in public education efforts to counter mis- and disinformation by fact checking and debunking claims, and being a trusted, nonpartisan source for the media, including the Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, Reuters, AP, local news, and more.
● Actively working to defeat inherently insecure internet voting proposals and to increase sound alternatives in a number of states, including in California, Illinois, Rhode Island, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
We couldn’t do our work without your support. We’ve made great progress together this year, but there is much left to be done to ensure all voters can vote without impediment, and have justified confidence in the election processes that are central to our democracy.
If you’ve already given, thank you for your partnership and commitment to our mission of strengthening democracy for all voters! If you haven’t given yet, there’s still time to make a 2022 gift; thank you for considering Verified Voting in your year end giving! [link removed]
With gratitude,
The Verified Voting Team
