My passion for humanitarian service led me to volunteer with Evidence Action in 2018, when the Abuja office in Nigeria was barely two years old. Since then, it’s been an exciting journey watching our team grow and — now as a staff member — being part of the Deworm the World Initiative’s enormous impact in Nigeria. Partnering with the government, we targeted 7.4 million children for deworming treatment in schools across the country this year.
Having grown up with a humble background and knowing what it means to have financial challenges, I had set out to join an NGO working to eradicate poverty. The responsibility of advocating for cost-effective, high-impact solutions that will affect millions of children is something that I cherish.
When I visit local communities, parents and teachers are so grateful we provide deworming tablets for free. Following treatment, it’s clear that many schoolchildren had been infected with intestinal worms.
Our program brings both an immediate and a lasting impact on their health and lives. This, to me, is the joy of working at Evidence Action.
Today, I’m inviting you to be part of this impact.
Your contribution can make a big difference.
