Let’s face it — Republicans have had a (mostly) successful few years.

They put an illegitimate president in the White House, undermined our democratic process, and implemented a lot of the cruel policies. And, most importantly — especially to Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell — they’ve hijacked the courts.

They spent decades convincing their voters that the courts are THE end game for exactly one reason — even if Democrats take back the presidency and Congress, pro-corporate, far-right extremists will control the third branch of the federal government for a generation because federal judges serve for life and Trump has appointed nearly 170 of them.

It’s time for Democrats to fight back, and that’s where Demand Justice comes in. We’re leading the progressive movement to take back the courts — because even if we put a Democrat in the White House, take control of the Senate, and keep the House blue, every issue we care about could wind up being decided by Republican judges unless we also start taking the courts seriously.

In 2020, every voter needs to be a Supreme Court Voter. The first step is simple: Just tell us you agree that courts matter.

This won’t happen overnight, but Democrats can’t afford to wait another minute when it comes to the courts. Mitch McConnell stole a Supreme Court seat from President Obama and changed the Senate rules to confirm Neil Gorsuch. Then, he rushed Brett Kavanaugh through a sham confirmation process while ignoring credible allegations of sexual assault and perjury.

Being a Supreme Court Voter is a commitment to doing something to address the GOP court takeover, because right now, Democrats aren’t doing nearly enough, and all of our priorities and values are at risk as a result.
