Dear John,
We know that the people most impacted by economic inequality are the ones who need to guide the solutions. At UFE, we are supporting and training the leaders our movement needs, including low-wage workers, BIPOC workers, immigrants, and other community-based leaders fighting for a fairer economy and more inclusive democracy.
Did you know that the majority of UFE’s trainings and workshops are offered at no cost to participants? We are. . . .
- Engaging Black and immigrant worker-leaders in North Carolina in learning and dialogue to understand one another’s histories and build solidarity in the fight to raise the minimum wage.
- Supporting grassroots leaders who are building the solidarity economy.
- Providing popular economics education and leadership to a community impacted by both gentrification and climate change.
- Offering tools to immigrant youth for healing from the harms of oppressive systems.
- and so much more. . . .
Most of this work is provided at no charge to participants. Your donation helps to make this work possible!. Please give generously today!

There are some organizations with the resources to pay our trainers, and we welcome their support. But the great majority of our offerings are free to participants.
At our Trainings of Trainers, where we use simultaneous interpretation to create inclusive bilingual learning and connection, participants also receive everything they need to be fully present and engaged — lodging, transportation stipends, meals and snacks, child care — at no cost. Some participants also receive stipends to replace lost wages.
