Imagine how frightening it must have been to find out you are pregnant during labour… Mums like Hayley need your help. No images? Click here Hello, Cots. Car seats and prams. Onesies and blankets. Even nappies – hard times mean that more mums like Hayley will bring their babies home without the basic essentials they need to keep them safe. Too many families simply can’t afford it. For Hayley, Daisy was not so much a surprise, but a complete shock. Until that day, she didn’t know she was pregnant. And Hayley isn’t alone. One mum in every 400 doesn’t know she is pregnant until after 20 weeks. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been for her – then to think she had no one around her to help and none of the things she needed to care for Daisy and keep her safe. Last year, Geelong Mums supporters helped 19,425 Victorian families. People like you gave generous donations that allowed us to supply babies and children with everything they need to thrive. But right now, I am desperately short of the funds needed to give mums like Hayley support this Christmas. And there aren’t enough donations to help families who will rely on us in 2023. Just because a family is facing hardship today should not mean their new baby is born without the things they need to keep them safe and healthy. Can I count on your support today? With my warmest thanks and very best wishes to you and your family this Christmas, Ruth Holdaway MBE PS: With more challenges facing families right now, my appeal is more urgent than ever. Please make your donation today to help mums and dads give their new babies basic essentials, and the best start in life. Your privacy is important to us. Please see our privacy policy. |
