John,
State lawmakers in Austin will meet for the first time since the overturn of Roe v. Wade in just a few weeks.
Democrats and even some weak Republicans want to repeal the Right to Life for preborn babies.
You can defend our state’s Pro-Life laws and even expand the protections and opportunities that Texas gives to preborn babies, children, women, and families.
But our public policy fund is critically low.
Will you join us with a life-saving gift to champion Pro-Life bills in 2023?
We have a bold, groundbreaking vision for this new chapter of the Pro-Life movement.
Here’s our plan to build a Pro-Life Texas!
1) Hold abortionists accountable if they break the law
Liberal district attorneys in big cities like Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio announced they will look the other way if doctors kill preborn babies through illegal abortions. We can’t let this type of lawlessness become the status quo!
Texas Right to Life will press for a new bill authorizing private citizens to sue criminals directly if they break our Pro-Life laws, similar to the Texas Heartbeat Act. No politician should be able to thwart justice for preborn Texans.
2) Assist pregnant women
Texas’ Alternatives to Abortion program is a statewide network of nonprofit pregnancy centers, adoption agencies, and maternity homes. More women could use these services now that abortion is illegal in our state.
We must increase funding for this life-saving program. We also must pass policies that help pregnant college students continue their education, and we can reform the adoption process to ensure children have loving homes.
3) Protect hospitalized patients
Texas must return power to patients and their families when hospitals use the deadly 10-Day Rule and other anti-Life policies that deny vulnerable patients their Right to Life.
4) Defend ALL lives
Texas must reject anti-Life efforts to add exceptions to Pro-Life laws. All preborn babies are created in God’s image and must be protected, especially those children often targeted by the abortion industry because of the circumstance of their conception or a health condition.
