Republicans need to DITCH the Omnibus

Friend,
Last week, I wrote a letter with 14 of my future freshman colleagues urging Leader McConnell and Senate Republicans to oppose the $1.7 Trillion Omnibus spending bill. With 13 days left until Republicans take over the House of Representatives, the last thing we should be doing is making concessions to the radical left and the Biden Administration right before we retake the majority.
Included in the bill is a laundry list of unnecessary spending, including but not limited to:
* $45 billion in Ukraine Aid
* $400 million for border security for Jordan, Oman, and other Middle Eastern countries
* Language that prohibits Customs and Border Protection from increasing our border security
* Billions of dollars in pet projects for Democrats including a multi-million dollar federal building named after Nancy Pelosi
Even more shocking is that last night, 21 Senate Republicans voted to advance the bill in the Senate! This is not what’s in the best interest of our country, which is why I was proud to sign onto a letter ([link removed]) urging Mitch McConnell and Republicans in the Senate to ditch this bill at once.
Read more about our letter to Mitch McConnell through Breitbart News HERE ([link removed]) .
House Republicans should unite together and make sure our colleagues in the Senate hear the voices of the American people. Passing this outrageous piece of legislation in the middle of the night is exactly why Washington D.C. is known as the swamp, and I can't wait until January to ensure our conservative Houston values are heard in Washington.
Sincerely,
Wesley Hunt
