All parents have heard stories of enthusiastic college freshmen going off to school with their family's values firmly in tow, only to see marked changes in the students when they come home for their first extended holiday at Christmas. Most people consider it a phase, and often it is. The scenario has changed now, though, with the influence of increasingly woke universities. In this fascinating interview, Virginia Allen ([link removed]) describes how one mother recognized the changes in her student for what they were: a cult of anger and despair and a strident rejection of all that the daughter had been raised to believe. Annabella Rockwell was thrilled when she learned she had been accepted at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, the oldest women’s college in America.

“I was so excited,” Rockwell said. “I was so eager to learn.”

But the more she learned in her college classes, the more her joyful personality waned, her mother says.
