Consider our recent School Board Training Conference for elected school board members across California.
Last month, PRI brought together 60 school board members from all sections of California. Attendees heard from an all-star lineup of panelists, including Lance Izumi, Senior Director of PRI’s Center for Education, as well as school board presidents and members from Orange County to Sacramento.
The lively and inspiring conversation covered such topics as:
How to be an effective school board member.
Fighting the woke classroom and Critical Race Theory.
What school board members can do to improve student achievement.
Fortified by information and advice they cannot get elsewhere, school board members went home to do battle for educational freedom, the rights of parents to control their children’s education, and high standards unsullied by CRT nonsense.
Following the conference, one school board member from Southern California introduced a resolution prohibiting the teaching of CRT in their school district. The resolution passed in a 3-2 vote in a major victory against the education establishment.
We are already planning our next training conference for school board members, to be held later this year in San Francisco. We’ll also be expanding the program to Texas and Arizona in 2023 and livestreaming all these conferences to ensure we reach the widest possible audience.
