Dear John,
What’s really driving inflation?
How do we stop corporations from price gouging?
What can we do to build a better economy for working people?
I sat down with Solana Rice, Co-founder of Liberation in a Generation Action, to have a frank conversation about these critical questions which the media continues to ignore.
Solana is a researcher and policy advocate who is also the co-founder and co-executive director of Liberation in a Generation Action — a nonprofit dedicated to tackling the racial wealth gap in America and building economic power for people of color.
She is a frequent collaborator with Inequality Media Civic Action and I was thrilled to get the opportunity to sit down with her for such an informative and inspiring conversation.
Solana and I both agree that in order to fix our rigged economy, we need to have an understanding of the forces that shape it. Case in point: inflation. It isn’t just happening by magic. We need to stop blaming wage increases and get real about what's actually driving rising prices — corporate greed and unfettered monopoly power.
I hope you enjoy our candid conversation, and take a moment to follow Solana Rice to learn more about the important work being done by Liberation in a Generation Action.
Thanks for watching,
Robert Reich
