In this election, millions of people cast their ballots for an America that is more fair, more just, more equal, and more free.
While we still have a lot of work to do as a nation, this keeps us moving forward.
Our democracy is resilient as long as we stay engaged and active between elections.
President Obama is right – we made incredible progress, but our fight is far from over. Republican politicians have already signaled that they no longer view redistricting as a once-in-a-decade event. Instead, they intend to continue manipulating the maps.
That’s why our team at the NDRC doesn’t take time off between elections. We’re playing the long game, and we’re working day in and day out to secure fair maps, help elect fair-minded judges, protect voting rights, and more.
