The House January 6th Committee just released its report, detailing that Donald Trump purposely spread false allegations of fraud, corruptly pressured Vice President Pence to overturn the 2020 Election, and provided false information to federal courts.

The Committee has also issued criminal referrals for Donald Trump and some allies to the Department of Justice; as well as referrals to the House Ethics Committee for four members of Congress, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

The January 6th Report’s release is our opportunity to refocus the national conversation on the urgent need to protect our democracy from continuing threats and seek justice for Trump and his MAGA allies. The Committee has also laid out legislative solutions Congress can adopt to prevent future presidents from abusing their power to overturn elections. This is our time to hold Trump accountable for his actions on January 6 and restore faith in our democracy.
