Volunteers in Virginia’s fourth congressional district are still hard at work counting ballots from yesterday’s Democratic Firehouse Primary.

But even as we await results from that contest, a much larger one looms ahead: whoever wins this nomination race will face off against Republican extremist Leon Benjamin on February 21, 2023.
