Zala had to walk 7 days just to reach help at a Project HOPE mobile clinic. And Colombia where pregnant women from Venezuela, like Yasmin, can give birth safely because Project HOPE has delivered essential newborn equipment and helped provide health workers to treat the surge of needs from refugees. Many Venezuelan women feel they must give birth in Colombia because health care in Venezuela is either too expensive or completely unavailable.
