Online Stewards Orientation - Friday, January 6, 1:00pm - 5:00pm Eastern time

This introductory webinar is a must for new stewards or stewards who have never received formal training. Topics include the role of the steward, worksite representation, and 5 USC Chapter 71 – the law outlining federal employee union representatives’ rights.

NOW Bargaining Basics - Thursday, January 19, 1:00pm - 5:00pm Eastern time

An introductory webinar for members who are likely to be involved in collective bargaining at their local or council, this webinar discusses what can and cannot be bargained over under federal law, “good faith” bargaining, use of official time, information requests, and how to access additional relevant resources.

NOW Strategic Bargaining - Monday, January 23, 12:00 noon - 5:00pm Eastern time

This advanced bargaining skills class is for those already experienced in collective bargaining (or those who have completed the Basics webinar). This course explores how to determine the best bargaining strategy for your situation, implementing a strategic bargaining plan, and effective strategies for educating members and gaining their support.

Local Officers Online Orientation - Friday, January 27, 1:00pm-5:00pm

An overview for new local officers, this training examines the roles and responsibilities of elected officers at the local level, including legal, fiduciary, and reporting requirements as well as planning and budgeting.
